About John
John Stroiney spent more than 25 years in corporate sales and marketing before deciding to put his voice to work in a more literal sense. That background means he doesn't just read copy—he understands why it was written, who it's for, and occasionally why it needed another draft.
He's been on the client side of the brief, which means his work across commercial, corporate narration, e-learning, Tier 3 automotive, and TV affiliate voiceover carries something most voice actors can't offer: genuine fluency in the client's language. He's sat in that meeting. He knows.
Outside the booth, John is the kind of cook who can't just make dinner without first understanding what every ingredient is doing there and why. It's a habit that has served him well behind the mixing board in community theatre for decades, chasing the mix where every voice disappears into something bigger than itself. Less well at dinner parties, where people mostly just want to eat.
He brings the same approach to the booth. Predictably.
John believes the best client relationships are built the same way everything else he cares about is—on trust, attention, and showing up the same way every time. Clear communication, on-time delivery, and a genuinely collaborative process aren't bullet points. They're just how he works. He's tried it the other way. He didn't care for it.
